Now our sister site cheap televisions normally deal with all the home
entertainment and television related news but this one is certainly a
proper big boys toy. The television is being shown at this years CES
2008 and is a huge 150 inches!! Thats the equivalent of 9, 50 inch flat
panel TVs stuck together and dwarfs the previous biggest a 108 inch TV
made by Sharp. The only people who could house them or even afford the
massive £50,000 price tag on the 150 inch Panasonic TV are probably
footballers (the lucky gits lol, but what a gadget).

This statement from Panasonic went along with the demonstration
although I would just love to see one in the flesh (plastic, glass and
metal if I'm being literal). "The 150-inch PDP delivers dynamic, overwhelming image quality with
an 8.84m pixel resolution (2,160 x 4,096) - more than four times the
1080p HD specification (1,080 x 1,920). The prototype has a screen size
equivalent to nine 50-inch PDPs with an effective viewing area of 11 ft
(3.31 m) (W) x 6 1/4 ft (1.87 m) (H). With the enhanced PDP
technologies Panasonic accumulated in the development of its 103-inch
PDP, the 150-inch PDP provides stable and uniform images across the
vast expanse of the screen and the same brightness as the 103-inch PDP.
Featuring true-to-life colour reproduction capability and quick
response to moving images, the ultra- large PDP renders clear, crisp,
spectacular images unrivalled by any other."
