This has been all over the press today being released at the CES 2008
electronics show today. Its called the Rovio and is made by robotics
firm WowWee and has some cool little features like an omni-directional
web cam so you can stalk people or something lol. Every boy dreams of
owning a robot when they are little and as we grow into men we still
want one and it appears home robotics are finally upon us with gadgets
like this.
Its suggested that the Wowwee Rovio could cost around £150 although
will probably be more expensive after they pay import duty etc on
getting them to the UK. You can rive the robot around using any web
enabled device like a mobile phone, PC, or games console. Who cares this looks proper cool and is certainly a proper big boys toy. Should be interesting to see what they are like in the real world once these gadgets are released both in
America and here in the UK probably sometime late in 2008.
