According to a report from Reuters a small German IT company has fired
its three non smoking workers after they requested a smoking free work
environment. The manager Thomas J apparently decided that they should
be sacked believing they were threatening to disturb the peace of the
IT company's office in Buesum. Germany is still one of the last
remaining countries in Europe where your still allowed to smoke in
offices although I'm sure it has some kind of law preventing people
from being fired for not smoking!
The manager of the 10 person IT firm apparently told local German
reporters about firing people for not smoking ""I can't be bothered
with trouble-makers," Thomas was quoted saying.
"We're on the phone all the time and it's just easier to work while
smoking. Everyone picks on smokers these days. It's time for revenge.
I'm only going to hire smokers from now on." Hilarious, nothing like
that could ever happen here in the UK........ Or could it with all this
weird news about it wouldn't actually surprise me!

Since we added this story it has since been revealed that this story was in fact a hoax, a mildy funny one too, a dig at non smokers instead of smokers for a chance lol. Some weirdo was quoted as saying "He said it was a joke and worth the trouble. He said he's a chain-smoker himself and said he was tired of smokers being hassled so much."
