After just 8 months in the Newcastle United managers job Sam Allardyce
and the clubs management have decided he should leave his position with
immediate effect by mutual agreement. No doubt big Sam was probably
pushed out rather than agreeing to the move. No news yet on who his
replacement could be although rumors of Newcastle United hero Alan
Shearer taking the managers job are rife although highly unlikely.

If Newcastle United do appoint Alan Shearer it'll be a big shock to many in football
especially as they would be replacing someone with years of managerial
experience with someone who has none at all. Then again weirder things
have happened so watch this space. Mike Ingham from BBC's Radio 5 Live
said about the departure of Sam Allardyce "It was an open secret that he was under pressure after
making such a mediocre start - but the timing of his leaving was still
unexpected. But Newcastle's problems stretch back over 30 years - not half a season. Managers have been hired and fired far too quickly. When will the penny finally drop that stability and continuity are the main ingredients needed to achieve success?"
