Roy Keane on overseas games.

Sunderland manager Roy Keane has spoken out in support of the recently proposed idea of Premiership football games being played around the world. So far the proposal has met a pretty mixed response from being praised to severally criticised. But according to comments made by Roy Keane today he believes change is a good thing for the English Premiership.

Roy Keane said to the BBC about the Premierships international extra game proposal "It's great. Change is good but that depends who you are playing in that extra game. If it's one of the top four, I might argue. The Premier League has been brilliant and Richard Scudamore (Premier League chief executive) spoke brilliantly last night. They are looking at the proposals and do everything properly. It's three years away and I think we should all be trying to be positive about it."

Maybe if this gets the go ahead managers will stop moaning about players not having enough time to rest in the already hugely congested football season. I doubt it though.
