Unbelievable I know but Kevin Keegan's Newcastle Unite managed to win a
English Premiership football game! It was their first in 14 games and
first in 10 since Kevin Keegan too charge of Newcastle since returning.
Newcastle ended up beating Fulham 2 - 0 with goals from both Michael
Owen and Mark Viduka. Hopefully this'll do Owen's confidence a world of
good especially after being called up by England for their friendly
against France.
Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan spoke about Michael Owen after the match
saying "People keep questioning all sorts of things with these great
players, but they can answer them. Michael probably answered a few
critics again today - there are plenty out there, from what I am
seeing. He would certainly be in most people's England side."
Kevin Keegan is still likely to get the sack sometime soon though with Denis Wise replacing him (well maybe not but its still possible).
