With me having to move and decorate etc recently I haven't had much time to watch television, but thankfully I've been able to catch up with the new series of Top Gear via the BBC iPlayer at work (still no television at home). Seems like the boys are back to there best with this series although last year it was slightly hashed together with Richard Hammonds rocket car crash.

Something that confuses me with Top Gear is that it is so popular (and
rightfully so as everything else on TV at the moment is pretty lame)
but the government insist on raising fuel and car tax. Increase speed
camera numbers. Tell us not to use our cars and so on to get themselves
the green vote. But what if a party actually did something to help us
normal people who will be hit pretty hard by the ridiculous new car tax
prices? They'd lose the green vote yes, but gain the majority vote!!!!
Seems pretty simple to me....
Oh and before any idiot tree huggers start flaming this blog post, I actually recycle everything, use public transport daily for work instead of driving and need my car to get around to see family etc at the weekends. My other problem is my car is a 2002 MINI Cooper S and now I'm expected even though I didn't know when I purchased it to pay over £300 a year in tax! Yes a little MINI is over £300 a year on this stupid new scale. Anyway I'm off to go search AutoTrader for a 2001 Honda S2000 which is far more polluting yet cheaper to tax, great idea Mr Scumbag Brown lol.
