
Roberto Martinez was quoted on the BBC website as saying "It is a huge compliment coming from the best football club in Europe, but it's a compliment for Swansea City. There's nothing to be making decisions on, I've got too much work on my hands here at the moment."
Looks like Alex Ferguson and Manchester United will have to continue their search although I imagine they will have a number of quality applicants for the job. Just as long as they don't try and poach Southend United manager Steve Tilson!
Regarding the filling of the number two spot Alex Ferguson said "You take your time with these things. I knew when Portugal came for him that it would be very difficult for us. But we've good staff and we'll carry on."
