I don't know what's going on today but it seems I'm doing a good job of writing about stupid things on the man blog today. Or you could just call it winging I don't mind lol. Anyway yesterday I went into the High Street to have a beer, some food and generally look at all the girls walking around wearing not too many clothes due to the lovely weather. Also as all the sales are on I wanted to pick up a cheap DVD or two from the bargain bins so popped into Zavvi (previously Virgin Megastore) to see what is what.
I had actually brought The Bourne Ultimatum from the same store the week before for £7 and found it a bit funny that in the Zavvi sale it was now £9! The same was true of the DVD box set of the three Bourne films which a week ago was £17 and is now £20! In the end I picked up Hot Fuzz for the bargain price of four English pounds and its actually a pretty funny (boyish) film, perfect for relaxing on a lazy Sunday evening before the rat race begins again.
Oh before anyone emails saying that it might have just been the Bourne movies that went up in the Zavvi sale it wasn't, there was others but I'm wasn't bored enough to remember every price in the shop lol. I also have to say the stores were much better when they were under the Virgin banner. Since changing to Zavvi they seem to have just spray painted the whole store (in Southend at least) black and put all the DVD, CD and game stands all over the place.
