Yes I know I'm a bit slow on this weird news story but in case you've missed it female police officers in Germany are set to get bullet proof bras. Apparently the bullet proof bra was designed to prevent any hard objects in the item causing injury after the bullet proof vest does its job stopping the projectile.
A spokesperson for the German police said of the bullet proof bra "There was a slight safety risk for women wearing normal bras with metal parts underneath a bullet-proof vest. If the vest is hit by a projectile, this can have an impact on the metal bit in the bra underneath and cause injuries."
